by Wilhelm Langthaler

As the socio-economic arguments of the elites in favour of the Euro regime have been evaporating, left-liberalism withdraws top a defence line depicting the EU as guarantor of peace. Not only that free-trade steamrolling continues to inflict poverty on Africa and the capitalist periphery as a whole thus stoking conflicts, there is also the special case of Ukraine giving lie to the Europeanist claim.

Declaration of the European Anti-Euro Co-ordination
During the referendum on June 23rd, 2016, the British people, especially the working class and social strata massacred by neoliberal globalization, decided reclaim popular sovereignty and democracy. Platform of the Lexit network
With the implementation of the European single market and the Maastricht Treaty, European integration was established as a neoliberal project for the long run. On the progressing loss of consensus for the neo-liberal regime
by Wilhelm Langthaler
Presidential elections first round
The results of the first round of the presidential elections were an unexpected shock for the ruling Grand Coalition composed of Social-democrats and Christian-conservatives. This has been the political formula for the neo-liberal regime ever since the late 1980s. But the popular masses more and more turn their backs on them. The point of collapse is coming closer. The opposition from below, however, is being articulated mainly by a cultural chauvinist refusal of Islamic migration and is led by the historic right-wing forces.
