In the Gaza Strip one and a half million people virtually live under siege, behind barbed wire and without a chance to escape this prison camp. The living conditions are unbearable due to a severe shortage of food, medicine and clean water, strictly limited power supply and worsening hygienic conditions. Despite this situation the blockade of the Gaza Strip is tightened and the Israeli Army is launching military actions and bombardments on an almost daily basis. Those who have to suffer are the civilians.

Call to be officially communicated to the candidates for the European elections

In this commemoration of the Land Day, symbol of the Palestinian resistance, the call for the withdrawal of Hamas fom the European list of the terrorist organizations, launched on February 1st, 2009 in Brussels, received the support of 1 200 signatories. Among them, 275 personalities of the academic, literary, artistic and militant of the Palestinian cause fields. The signatories emanate from 22 of 27 countries of the European Union and from 40 countries outside the European Union, representing all the continents.

Tear down the ghetto walls! Send human solidarity to Gaza!

For three long weeks Israel bombarded the Gaza strip leaving behind blood, destruction and misery. The imbalance could not have been greater: On one side the most powerful army of the region backed by the military supremacy of the US. On the other side a starving and impoverished people closed up behind ghetto walls and forced to defend itself by completely inadequate means.

Italian Appeal to end a genocidal embargo
In 1996 the Palestinians, voting massively for Fatah, expressed their hope for a just peace with Israel. This hope has, however, been frustrated by Israel's systematic violation of the Oslo Accords, which stipulated that Israel should withdraw its troops from and dismantle its settlements on 90% of the Occupied Territories.
