In early 2014, Glenn Greenwald and other politically concerned journalists with www.theintercept.com published documents leaked by the whistle-blower Edward Snowden and helped Snowden to escape persecution by the US authorities. Last month, they published secret NSA documents dating back to 2004 that show high-level NSA deliberations how to fight the Anti-Imperialist Camp. At the time, we led a global campaign to support the Iraqi resistance against the US occupation of Iraq, which we compared to the guerrilla struggle against Nazi occupation forces in Europe.

"The Military Council of the Revolution, formed by the former Iraqi army military, youth of the revolution and tribal members, is coordinating the military struggle of different groups against the Maliki government, heir to the political system imposed by the U.S. occupation".

One of the political leaders of the Iraq resistance, Abduljabbar al Kubaysi, who has been one of the driving forces of the construction of a common political front of the resistance, recently stated his confidence in the Syrian revolutionary forces.
To the masses of the Arab Nation, to all patriotic and national organisations in the Arab Homeland
How are the results of the recent Iraqi elections be interpreted from the anti-occupation perspective? No short adequate answer is possible, since it has to note the upheavals and evolution in several broad and multifarious political fronts. But the general theme is the increasing flux, or rather the deepening political fragmentation and chaos. No point in pretending otherwise, even though the hope remains that we will not sink to another bout of sectarian atrocities like those of 2006/7.

On March 23rd, upon learning that we are among the promoters of the call "Stop the aggression against Iran", Salah al-Mukhtar, a known member of the Iraqi Baath (with which we have kept close ties since the Anglo-American aggression of March 2003), has sent us a letter in which he accuses us of having become accomplices of the Americans. Let us read:
International Conference, Chianciano Terme, Italy, March 24/25, 2007
With the Resistance, for a Just Peace in the Middle East
An International Conference for supporting the Iraqi Resistance will be organized in Chianciano Terme, Italy, on 24/25 March. We consider this conference as the first serious and real action to break the political sanction and isolation imposed by U.S. imperialism against the Iraqi Resistance and the Iraqi People's struggle against the U.S. savage occupation. Also, we look to this conference as the first step for building an international front against imperialism.
