Filmscreening: Still, Minab

Film screening and discussion with director Dr. Doutaghi, law scholar dismissed from Yale University for her unwavering support of Palestine
We are pleased to invite you to a special screening of Still, Minab, a documentary series researched, written, and narrated by Dr. Helyeh Doutaghi.
Still, Minab documents the devastating U.S. bombing of Shajareye Tayebe Elementary School in Minab, Iran, on February 28, 2026, and its aftermath. Through firsthand testimonies and fieldwork, the series centres the voices of the children, families, and communities affected by this tragedy. Moving beyond geopolitical narratives, it seeks to preserve their lived experiences, honour the lives lost, and raise urgent questions about justice, accountability, and the human cost of war.
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Helyeh Doutaghi, who will join us online for a discussion following the screening, offering insights into the making of the series, the stories behind it, and the broader implications of the tragedy.
Helyeh Doutaghi is an Iranian scholar of international law and political economy, and a former Associate Research Scholar at Yale Law School, where she was expelled for her outspoken advocacy for Palestinian liberation. Her research explores the intersections of the Third World Approaches to International Law, encompassing Marxian and postcolonial critiques of law, sanctions, and international political economy. She holds a PhD in Law and Legal Studies from Carleton University in Canada and an LLM in Transnational Law from King’s College London.
This screening is an invitation to listen, reflect, and bear witness to the human realities of war that too often remain unheard.
