The European Union aims only at suppressing nations' sovereignty in order to make neoliberal policies permanent. These policies' purpose is to favor the richest by crushing the poorest. The Brexit victory is a blow to that system which must be dismantled. The EU is one of the main mechanisms to impose neoliberal policies, the dismantling of social security, the erosion of democracy, the implementation of racist policies. Contrary to the theory of the EU as a neutral level playing field, the events after the Great Recession (2007/2009) have shown that the current European integration project is defined by the regressive nature of its treaties and by an unprecedented radicalization of its neoliberal character.
