Mauritania: anti-imperialist candidate runs in second round
17/3/2007
Ahmed Ould Daddah second in first roundSunday, March 11, the first round of the presidential elections in Mauritania took place which are the first to be regarded as democratic. In the last decades there used to be a military dictatorship controlled by the Western imperialist powers. The important fact is: the candidate of the democratic anti-imperialist coalition, Ahmed Ould Daddah, who scored second with some 20%, will participate in the second round challenging the candidate of the old regime. Many believe that, if no major electoral fraud will be carried out, Daddah has good chances to become the next president of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. Daddah is not only supported by his movement ("Rassemblement des forces dà©mocratiques") holding 16 seats in parliament but by a broad … [read more]
US out of Iraq, hands off Iran
16/3/2007
by the Party of Labour of Iran (Toufan)Stop the war!No sanctions, no bombs against IranThe US has, directly after its occupation of Iraq, been building up several military bases close to the Iranian border. The US has made repeated demands on the Iranian government to accommodate to US policies concerning the "new American order". Replacement of the regimes in Iraq, North Korea and Iran is, and has been, part of the Bush doctrine. Right now, as the US has failed in Iraq, its war-mongering against Iran is on the increase. The US has now dispatched two aircraft carriers to the Gulf of Persia and placed 50 warships just off the Iranian coast. The US accuses Iran of possessing nuclear arms or of aiming at producing them. This is the hysterical US propaganda against Iran, in spite of the fact … [read more]
Declaration of Intent of the Anti-Imperialist Camp
13/3/2007
We respect all forms of struggle used by all organisations and movements in different countries and different circumstances in order to put an end to exploitation and oppression. The Camp advocates the highest unity in the struggle against the common enemy, declaring that imperialism is the most cruel of all capitalist systems. Thus, it cannot be overthrown without putting an end to national, social and class injustice and inequality. The struggle against imperialist globalisation can only be an International one. Thus, it needs the broadest and most unitarian and radical mass mobilisation, in the South as well as in the North, in the East just like in the West.We consider it as our aim to help this coordination through communication, information and unity in action on a world scale. We … [read more]
Int'l Conference on War, Imperialism and Resistance in West Asia
7/3/2007
12th-14th March 2007, Delhi West Asia is currently becoming the global flashpoint, with US imperialism seeking to remould the region to its liking. Israel, its closest ally in the region, is also seeking to destroy the Palestinian nation. The catchall slogan of "War against Terror," post 9/11,is a cover for the aggressive designs of the US-Israeli axis, shown by the occupation of Iraq and possible military strikes against Iran.nUnfortunately, the Government of India's the vote in IAEA on Iran and its continued military relationship with Israel in which India has become the largest importer of arms from Israel, has deeply compromised its foreign policy. To highlight the above issues and generate a wider solidarity for the people under occupation and military threat in the region, a 3-day … [read more]
Awni al Kalemji: no to German limited democracy
5/3/2007
Statement on the confirmation of his expulsion by the German authoritiesReaction to Landesamt für Bürger- und Ordnungsangelegenheiten Berlin, Verwaltungsgericht Berlin, 35. Kammer, Geschäftszahl IV Z BO 1, February 13, 2007Regardless of all empty talk of the rule of law the German authorities once again confirm that they feel in no way bound to the UN charter of Human Rights and all connected international regulations: "it is not relevant whether the armed struggle is in line with the conceptions of the United Nations".Nevertheless they arrogate themselves to teach us lessons on democracy - a democracy whose export version our people is currently suffering. While they do declare the breach of any democratic right by the US-led war and occupation of Iraq as enshrined by the UN charter … [read more]
"Asking for constitutional changes is the climax for the democratic movement, not its starting point"
4/3/2007
Interview with Prof. Dr. Ashraf el-Bayoumi, member of the Anti-colonialist Anti-Zionist Committee, Vice-president of Alexandrian Association for Human Rights Advocating Q: You have been involved in the opposition movement in Egypt for many years, you were active in Kifaya and one of the main organizers of the First Cairo Conference, held in December 2002. What was the development of the opposition movement since then, what happened to Kifaya?El-Bayoumi: We have to ask ourselves, where the opposition movement is today. Before invasion of Iraq there was a nucleus of a movement and it was centered around lifting the sanctions against Iraq and there have been certain points, for example in 2002 we sent a plane to Iraq with food in spite of the UN restrictions. That was a symbolic gesture … [read more]

[read more]

Call to action against G8 summit in Heiligendamm, Germany
21/2/2007
Stop occupation and warIn June 2007, the eight biggest capitalist powers will meet in Germany, in the city of Heiligendamm. These G8 meetings have assumed a symbolic character representing the imperialist policy all over the world: While the world's mightiest are enjoying their cheerful get togethers, dinner parties and cocktails, their armies are bombing innocent people, fighting repressing and torturing civilians, crushing legitimate resistance elsewhere in the world. Their corporations are looting resources belonging to other peoples in other parts of the world, their companies are exploiting the world's poor and undefended to satisfy their masters' greed. Their diplomacies are pressurizing sovereign countries in order to make them subjugate under imperialist interests. This is what G8 … [read more]

Serbian people remains defiant to imperialist normalisation
11/2/2007
Anti-Western sentiment dominant among popular massesThe last Serbian elections showed a net polarisation. On one side there are the anti-Western forces led by the Radical Party (SRS) which remains by far the strongest party. Then there is still the Socialist Party (SPS) which could once again surpass the 5% threshold. Together they represent the popular classes. On the other had there is the pro-Western governmental so-called "Democratic" bloc which led the counter-revolution against the Milosevic government in the interest of imperialism. The main result of the election was that within the Western bloc the completely pro-Western Democratic Party (DS) gained to the detriment of the bourgeois nationalist Kostunica. The profiteers of neo-capitalism and neo-colonialism - and those who hope … [read more]
